This Today – Yesterday – Tomorrow – Day After Tomorrow calendar resource is another way for your students to practice reading the calendar as a life skill. In special education it can be so helpful to have multiple ways for our students to practice life skills. We also have differentiated levels with graphic organizers that fade as students continue to practice and master the skill.
Ideas for use: 1:1, small group, whole class, independent work, morning meeting; IEP goal work, life skills programming, a version of an individual’s calendar time
To indicate answers: use clothespins, giant plastic clips, dry erase markers, fun pointer tools (e.g., finger pointers, teacher pointers), thin sticky notes, fun erasers.
Across ages and support needs: Our resources are made with images and icons that support learners across elementary, middle, high school, and into adult day programs. Students of any age can use this particular resource while still finding it age-respectful.
