This back-to-school activity is a light and fun game of This or That, designed to energize and engage students as they kick off the new school year in your classroom. The game revolves around a series of carefully crafted questions and preference-related options, all tailored to the back-to-school theme.

This or That game description: Given two choices, students will select their preference.

Bonus: Given our reflection worksheets, students can explain their reasoning, share with a partner, and then with the whole group/class. This can be helpful for you to see where students' comfort levels are around writing, explaining their reasoning, and even sharing their opinions!
